Great North Snowdogs
More than 60 beautifully painted Raymond Briggs Snowdogs arrived in the North East of England during autumn and winter 2016, and I was lucky enough to produce two of them, Woof-3000 and Day of the Dog. The Great North Snowdogs auction raised 259,200 for St Oswald’s Hospice, providing specialist care to Northeast adults, young people and children with life-limiting conditions.
Day of the Dog (now renamed Daysy) is inspired by sugar skull artwork and the Mexican Day of the Dead festival, a festival remembering those who are no longer with us, but above all a celebration of life!
Day of the Dog was originally sponsored by The Bridges Shopping Centre, Sunderland.
