The Queer Student Awards

I was thrilled to be invited to collaborate on this year’s Queer Student Awards, creating a range of bold button badges for the evening event, hosted at Liverpool’s iconic Liver Building. Worn by the judges and gifted to all attendees, the badges were a small but joyful way to mark an incredible evening honouring LGBTQ+ students and early career professionals from across the UK.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners! 🌈✨

The Queer Student Awards (QSAs) are the UK’s first annual celebration of LGBTQ+ students, apprentices, interns and graduates who are proudly leading the way in their lives and communities.

Founded in 2021 by ED&I consultant Steve Keith, the QSAs also shine a light on the brilliant work being done by allies, schools, colleges, unis and employers to build inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ young people can thrive — especially when so many worry that being out might stand in the way of future career success.

Judged by a panel of industry experts, queer influencers and former QSA finalists, it was a real honour to be a small part of something so joyful, powerful and affirming.
